I store my old Polaroids in microfilm boxes in a purse on a shelf under my desk.
Every once in a while I pull them out.
They bring back memories from not so long ago but feel like they are from a different lifetime.
They have their own distinct smell.
They have their own distinct feel.
They are a bit of magic, an instant frozen within white borders.
I’ve always had a love affair with instant photos.
So a few weeks back I got to be back on the field of Ohio Stadium for the first time since I graduated.
We were there for Om-H-I-O… yoga in the Horseshoe.
We got there early…
and played on the field a bit.
It was a beautiful day and an amazing experience!
I’m missing that weather [and Ohio] already!
He’d been asking about the cupcakes for hours before the party.
He wasn’t allowed to have one until it was time to blow out the candles.
It took me 30 seconds of yelling his name to make him look up for the 2nd photo.
Totally worth the wait!
On a day… not so very long ago… I was given the wonderful opportunity to photograph my good friend Meghan and her husband Nic at a very special time in their lives. By the images below you’d never guess that it was hotter than hot outside and we were racing the weather.
Meghan — you have always been beautiful and bubbly and I am so blessed to have known you for so long.
Nic — I am so happy that Meghan found you! You are going to make a great daddy :)
I can’t even express how happy I am for this new little family!
